USS Endeavour - history
The Legasy of the name Endeavour spans back as far as the twenty third century, where the federation was mostly concerned in expolritive missions, the name continued to grace starfleet a further two classes untill the USS Endeavour C was commissioned with the last borg attack! Here is a brief history of her namesake!
The USS Endeavour NCC-1716 Was a constitution class vessel under the command of Captain Albert Kruyss for most of her commissioned life. The Endeavour was responsible for the successful integration of five species into the federation and warding off the dreaded Par'el who threatened to overcome a small sector of federation space. The first endeavour, unlike all her sister ships, was never given a refit and so remained barely untouched for fifteen years. What was to be her last mission, was abandoned as the Admirality of starfleet discussed a daring recsue plan for Captain James T. Kirk when imprisoned by the Klingon' in Rura Penthe. The president of the Federation decided the plan was not the best approach. Subsequently, the Endeavour was decommissioned. |

The Forth, and current USS Endeavour Is an Akira Class starship attatched to Bravofleet. The Akira, being developed with the threat of Borg attack in mind is a small, fast and heavily armed starship, Due to the practical loss of the Endeavour B to the Borg the name seemed fitting to her class. The Endeavour, currently assigned to Lieutenant Commander Phil Cane has a crew eager to live up to the Legasy and reputation of the previous bearers of her name! |
